Center pieces
So you've gotten to the point of the wedding where you're going through Pinterest and deciding on low centerpieces or high. Which would be better for guests without interrupting the flow of conversation. Then you see the price of each centerpiece and realize you're having 150-200 guests meaning you're having 15-20 tables, quickly do the math and now you're sweating for the rest of the night. Centerpieces depending on where you are and what style you're looking for on a low end could be $150-$250 each. We've attended weddings where centerpieces were upward of $8,000-$10,000.
Now if $10,000 is a little out of reach for you here are a few options that may help. We're here to spill the beans on three fantastic tips to help you save money on your centerpieces while still achieving a stunning look that will impress your guests. Let's dive in and discover how you can create beautiful centerpieces without breaking the bank!
Tip 1: Embrace DIY Creativity
Why spend a fortune on pre-made centerpieces when you can unleash your creativity and make your own? DIY centerpieces are not only budget-friendly but also add a personal touch to your event. Head to your local craft store or let's face it most likely Amazon and explore a variety of affordable materials like mason jars, candles, faux flowers, and decorative ribbons. You can find a dozen high-quality flowers on Amazon for about $10. Get inspired by browsing online tutorials and unleash your inner artist to craft unique centerpieces that reflect your style and vision. Make YouTube your new best friend. Your guests will be amazed by your handcrafted masterpieces, and you'll be proud of the money you saved in the process! Depending on what you're looking for and If you shop smart you can have each centerpiece for about $50-$60. Now if you have 15 tables at $50 that's $750 compared to $3500 for 15 at $250.
Tip 2: Facebook groups
Go on to Facebook and look into local and nearby wedding groups. There are many groups that offer wedding decor at discounted prices or maybe even free. You'd be surprised how often people are willing to help. They have entire wedding groups dedicated to this. It is a good way to get them at next to nothing while still having quality pieces, often you'll find table numbers as well.
Tip 3: Renting
Many places offer centerpieces you can rent, this is a great alternative being that you can choose from many different styles and price points. I would love to link a few companies but a lot of these are dependent on your local area. There's so many beautiful options to pick from. This is one of my favorite options for a few reasons.
They are cost-effective and can often find things in many price ranges.
You don't get to keep them which is also a benefit to many people being that you don't have to find room in your home or gift 15 centerpieces.
Tip 4: The Neighbors
Maybe not the most ethical way but you could always pull flowers from your neighbor's garden ... then it will be a fun game to see them confused as to why the centerpieces look so familiar all night... No okay, this one is just a joke, don't invite your neighbors if you're stealing from their garden.
Conclusion:
Who says creating jaw-dropping centerpieces has to cost a fortune? By embracing DIY creativity, turning to past brides, and renting, you can save big on your special day, while still achieving a visually stunning and memorable look. Don't let budget constraints hold you back from creating the event of your dreams. Get creative, think outside the box, and watch as your affordable centerpieces steal the show!
